The ultimate game of skins for club golfers

2016 A Big Year for Juniors

19 Dec 2016

This year 3 juniors have stood out in the Handiskins Competition which is a true testament to their inner strength. Handiskins is a game of pressure and who can handle it especially in the final.

Matt Thompson from Cowra Golf Club, Max Wellington from Lynwood Country Club and Monica Marchesani from Rosebud Country Club all showed they have what it takes to keep up with the big boys (and girls). Earlier in the year Matt took on seasoned golfers to claim $600 in his clubs final, then Monica not only went into the final as the low marker but took on men more than twice her age to win $160. To take top spot on the juniors prize winners leaders board Max came out swinging to win $640.

Handiskins is truly a game for all levels of golfers and these kids can stand tall. Matt Thompson has already booked into the Handiskins National Championship which will be a great experience for him and we hope to see the other junior up at RACV Royal Pines next May battling it out with all the other finalists from other Handiskins Clubs.
