Around The Clubs – July & August 2025 Wrap Up

The winter months have delivered some of the most sensational finishes of the 2025 Handiskins qualifying season. Across the country, players defied the cooler temperatures to produce red-hot scores and record-breaking prize hauls, defined by clinical individual performances and dramatic jackpot holes that shifted leaderboards in a single stroke.

The headline story of July came from Bribie Island Golf Club, QLD, where Antonio Iannantuono staged a masterclass to claim a massive $860 win. We also witnessed one of the most exciting finishes in recent memory at Wanneroo Golf Club, WA, where a $720 10-hole jackpot on the 18th hole left the heart racing and the knees knocking for all four finalists. Every player played a part in halving holes, leading to a split final hole that defined the true spirit of Handiskins.

As we moved into August, the momentum continued with Scott Dean taking out the low-marker honours at City Golf Club Toowoomba, QLD with a dominant $677.50 victory. We also saw remarkable composure from junior member Kara Glennie at Gailes Golf Club, QLD, who played off a 5-handicap to secure a $495 win. Whether it was the mixed-gender showdowns at Magenta Shores and Moss Vale or the $400 jackpot win by Lloyd Kirby-Bailey at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads, the road to the Gold Coast in May 2026 is now paved with exceptional talent.
