Around The Clubs – October 2025 Wrap Up
October 2025 was a defining month for the season, characterised by the incredible diversity of our finalists and some of the most clinical individual performances seen all year. The "ultimate game of skins" continues to prove that form and composure under pressure are the great equalisers in club golf.
The standout performance of the month belongs to Joel Munro at Sanctuary Golf Resort, WA. Munro staged a masterclass in Bunbury to claim a massive $660 win, the highest individual haul for October. His ability to capitalise on the skins format under pressure was a highlight for the Western Australian circuit.
Ladies' golf was also firmly in the spotlight this month. At Headland Golf Club, the Ladies' Final delivered high-stakes drama when a spectacular jackpot hole rocketed Liz Dunford to the top of the leaderboard, securing her a $460 victory. We also saw Judy Loader prove too strong for her fellow finalists at Stonecutters Ridge, taking out the win in a very tight contest.
The theme of inclusivity was on full display at Glenelg Golf Club, where a mixed-gender final saw Wendy Greig emerge as the biggest winner with $455. Whether it was the joint victory for Michael Fletcher and Mitchell Edwards at Secret Harbour Golf Links, WA, or the evenly spread finishes at Nelson Bay and Beerwah, October was a month of standout camaraderie and competition. All of these newest champions have now officially qualified for the 2026 Championship Week on the Gold Coast this May.
October has been a sensational month for Handiskins, with club finals across Australia showcasing the incredible drama and spirit of the competition. From dominant individual displays in Western Australia to high-stakes jackpots on the Sunshine Coast, the 2025 season is reaching its peak as we look toward the 2026 Championship Week.
