Southport Golf Club 2021 Handiskins Championship

As the looming East Coast low descended towards the normally sunny Gold Coast, our four finalists approached the first tee with a mix excitement and with one eye on the sky, hoping to sneak through before the widely reported 'rain-bomb' dropped.

In the end the weather held off just enough to provide us with a very competitive and closely fought final at Southport Golf Club to crown Phil Daley at as this years Handiskins Club Champion. This was Daley's second final, having played out a tight final in 2018 for third place and $280. But this year Daley, off an impressive Handicap of 1, came out on top winning $395 from Darren Coombe $335, Steve Eaton $295 and Katrina Wain $175.
