Lynwood Country Club 2020 Handiskins Championship

Jenny Smith has been playing in the Lynwood Country Club Handiskins events since 2015. In the early years she was finishing towards the bottom half of the qualifying field, but each year, Jenny has slowly been building and in 2020 she delivered a barnstorming 44 points in the final round of qualifying to storm into the top 4 - making the big time by qualifying for Lynwood Country Club's Handiskins Championship Final.

This is an achievement in its own right, however the fairy-tale had only just begun. Jenny was keen to carry this form through to the final - and she didn't disappoint.

Competing with her clubmates Peter may, scratch maker Tyler Fortescue, and Kelvin Miles the final was a tense affair with everyone having their chances to win a larger share of the prize money, but in the end there were some telling putts that refused to drop, which we are sure will haunt and entertain some of the finalists for may a year to come.

Someone who held her nerve was Jenny Smith who secured two jackpot Skins, a nearest-the-pin, and the critical 18th hole which tied her on prizemoney with Peter May on $380-a-piece. As Handiskins rules dictates, their was a countback, and Jenny Smith was crowned the eventual champion. A gracious Peter May was pleased to be equal-top prizemoney winner, and fellow finalists Tyler Fortescue ($280), and Kelvin Miles ($160) were both amongst the cash and skins in what was a hotly contested final.

All four finalists received a Bridgestone Golf Cap and fought it out for their share in $1200 of Club Vouchers.
