Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club 2020 Handiskins Championship

We all love a grandstand finish in a championship final, and the beauty of skins golf means that even if things aren't going your way on the front nine - there's always time to pull it together on the back nine to burgle the big bucks.

And so it turned out at Ryde-Parramatta today as Richard Jones battled his way through the first 15 holes with only one skin to his name. In a scintillating and timely run over the next three holes, Jones managed to claim 5 skins (inclusive of the 3 hole jackpot 16th) to overtake his rivals and claim the 2020 Ryde-Parramatta Golf club Handiskins Championship, finishing with $470 of the $1200 on offer.

Richard Jones was congratulated by his gracious fellow-finalists Wanrae Cho ($350), Bennett Wheelhouse ($310) and Ediz Pektuzun ($70) who could only look on with envy as they saw their title hopes slip away in such cruel fashion.

Congratulations to every one of our finalists at Ryde-Paramatta Golf Club for a terrific final.

All four finalists received a Bridgestone Golf Cap and fought it out for their share in $1200 of Club Vouchers.

National Championships Qualifications 2021

All four finalists have now also qualified for the national championship and are extended an invitation to contest Australasia's best Amateur golf championship at the 2021 Handiskins National Championship at RACV Royal Pines Resort next May. Given the great spirit contesting today we are sure all four finalists would be able to claim the silverware and be crowned Handiskins National Champion. The 2021 event will be held from  Wednesday 28th April – Sunday 2nd May 2021.
