Moss Vale Golf Club 2021 Handiskins Championship

Entering their eighth year of Handiskins, one could be forgiven for thinking that we'd seen everything at Moss Vale Golf Club Handiskins events, but 2021 was an absolute belter of a final, and could have been the closest final in Handiskins history!

Only five holes in and it looked as though it was going to be a Jason Simpson clinic, after he pocketed the first five skins and a very handy lead. But from here everything tightened up as Shirhan Ho and Anthony Fischbeck got on the scoreboard to close out the front nine.

Antonio Tozzi turned at 10 with no skins and set to work to get himself back in the match. He went on to win 3 of the next five holes for four crucially important skins to take a narrow lead. In a tense finish all four golfers could have won it on the 18th, with Tozzi & Simpson halving the hole to cement a tense victory for Tozzi who collected a well-earned $350. Fischbeck was second with $310, followed by Simpson on $290 and Ho rounded things out with $250.

National Championships Qualifications 2022

All four finalists have now also qualified for the national championship and are extended an invitation to contest Australasia's best Amateur golf championship at the 2022 Handiskins National Championship at RACV Royal Pines Resort next May. Given the great spirit contesting today we are sure all four finalists would be able to claim the silverware and be crowned Handiskins National Champion. The 2022 event will be held from Wednesday 4th – Sunday 8th May 2022.
